Common Questions

Do I have to pay anything out of pocket?
No. If your child is eligible and the services are covered under the CDBS, we bulk bill directly to Medicare. There are no out-of-pocket expenses or gap fees for these eligible treatments.
How do I know if my child is eligible?
Children aged between 2 and 17 years are generally eligible if their family receives the Family Tax Benefit Part A or another relevant Australian Government payment. You can call Medicare or call our clinic to check eligibility.
What is the limit on CDBS services?
Eligible children receive access to a capped benefit (currently $1,095 over a 2 calendar year period) for basic dental services.
Does CDBS cover braces or orthodontic work?
No. The CDBS covers basic dental services like check-ups, X-rays, cleaning, fillings, and extractions. It does not cover orthodontic care, cosmetic dental work, or services provided in a hospital.
